Meadow Homes — The Washington State School Nurse Corps, which supports health efforts in public school districts, recently won the Warren Featherstone Reid Award for Excellence in Healthcare. The honor, created in 1994 by the Washington State Legislature, is given each year to those in the state who “exhibit exceptional quality and value in the delivery of health services.” The Nurse Corps has administrators in each of the state’s nine Educational Service Districts, including Sally Logue from ESD 112 in Vancouver. “It is rewarding to see the School Nurse Corps recognized,” Logue said in a press release. “Our nurses work hard to assure students with health care needs will be safe while engaged in school activities.”
