ALLEN PARK, Mich. (AP) — Defensive end Ziggy Ansah practiced Friday and is probable for the Detroit Lions’ game against the Minnesota Vikings on Sunday.

Ansah, the No. 5 pick in this year’s draft, has been recovering from a concussion. He did not travel for Detroit’s preseason finale at Buffalo last week.

The Lions say safety Louis Delmas and defensive end Jason Jones also are probable for the season opener.

Coach Jim Schwartz also says receiver Calvin Johnson, quarterback Matthew Stafford, defensive tackle Ndamukong Suh, linebacker Stephen Tulloch, kicker David Akers and safety John Wendling have been voted team captains.
