Two Vancouver residents were injured Saturday when a motorcycle and van collided on a cloverleaf on Interstate 205, the Washington State Patrol reported.

A WSP bulletins said the crash occurred about 7:30 p.m. when motorcyclist Pavel N. Leksunkin, 27, attempted to pass a 1999 Plymouth Voyager van on the right just as the its driver, Jackoline L. Hilby, 43, was attempting to merge on the transition from southbound I-205 to eastbound Highway 500.

Both Hilby and Leksunkin, who was riding a 2007 Triumph Daytona 650 motorcycle, were transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center. Hilby was no longer in hospital as of Saturday evening. Information on Leksunkin’s condition was not available.

Leksunkin was cited for unsafe passing, the WSP reported.
