INDIANAPOLIS (AP) — Colts linebacker Kelvin Sheppard will replace Pat Angerer as the starting middle linebacker Sunday against Oakland.

Angerer was diagnosed with a concussion late this week.

The biggest question coming into the season opener was who the Raiders would play at quarterback? Coach Dennis Allen did not announce a starter before the game, though most expect it to be Terrelle Pryor.

The Colts’ other inactives are safety Delano Howell, linebacker Kavell Conner, offensive lineman Khaled Holmes, tight end Jack Doyle, receiver David Reed and defensive tackle Montori Hughes.

Oakland puts quarterback Matt McGloin, defensive linemen Ryan Robinson and Brian Sanford, offensive linemen Menelik Watson and Antoine McClaine, receiver Juron Criner and tight end David Asbury on the inactive list. Left tackle Jared Veldheer was put on injured reserve Saturday with the option to return this season.
