EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — New York Jets center Nick Mangold has left the game against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers with an apparent arm injury.

Mangold was injured on a play in which the Buccaneers sacked Geno Smith early in the third quarter. He remained face down on the turf for a few moments while trainers checked on him. Mangold eventually rolled over on his back as the trainers looked at his right arm. Mangold walked to the sideline on his own, but was taken to the locker room a few minutes later.

The Jets had no immediate word on the nature or severity of the injury.

Tight end Jeff Cumberland also left the game in the first half with an apparent head injury.
