SAN FRANCISCO (AP) — Running back LaMichael James is among San Francisco’s inactive players for the season opener with Green Bay as he nurses a knee injury.

James was expected to be sidelined for Sunday’s game after he didn’t practice Wednesday or Thursday and said he would be out. New wideout Jon Baldwin, acquired last month from Kansas City, also is inactive for the 49ers, along with fellow new wide receiver Chris Harper.

For Green Bay, safety Jerron McMillan is listed as a starter in place of the inactive Morgan Burnett.

The Packers’ other inactives include cornerback Casey Hayward, linebackers Nate Palmer and Sam Barrington, guard Lane Taylor, tight end Brandon Bostick and defensive end Josh Boyd.
