Steam train ride offered to special needs kids

The Chelatchie Prairie Railroad is offering a free steam ride for children with special needs and their families.

The special trip departs at 10 a.m. Oct. 12 from the depot at 207 N. Railroad Ave. in Yacolt.

Seats for the event are already full, but the railroad is offering a waiting list in case families need to cancel their reservations. To get on the waiting list, contact Victoria Nonnenmacher at victoria_nonnenmacher@yahoo.com.

Chelatchie Prairie Railroad is a nonprofit railroad, running from its depot in Yacolt. The line is operated by volunteers dedicated to preserving railroad history in northern Clark County.
