Letter: Listen to expert analysis on Syria

Published: September 10, 2013, 5:00pm

According to Gen. Martin Dempsey, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, intervention in Syria and maintaining a no-fly zone can run into “as much as a billion dollars per month over the course of a year.” Are we prepared to spend that much to “send a message” to President Assad?

I can think of lots of better ways to use that money. I’ll bet you can, too.
