Vancouver police respond to domestic dispute

Police responded to a domestic dispute involving a weapon Wednesday afternoon in Vancouver’s West Minnehaha neighborhood.

A woman went to her ex-boyfriend’s house where she used to live to pick up some belongings. She was confronted by the ex-boyfriend, who told her to get off the property. He was allegedly wielding a rifle, according to Vancouver police Sgt. Jay Alie.

Police were dispatched to the residence at 1700 N.E. 49th St. at 1:22 p.m. According to emergency radio traffic monitored by the Columbian, the subjects approached Vancouver police with their hands up.

A weapon was not recovered.
