Jovanovski, Govortsova in Tashkent Open final

TASHKENT, Uzbekistan (AP) — Top-seeded Bojana Jovanovski of Serbia and unseeded Olga Govortsova of Belarus earned straight-set victories Friday to reach the Tashkent Open final.

Jovanovski, who made the second round of all four Grand Slams this year and was the only seeded player in the semifinals, defeated Maria-Teresa Torro-Flor of Spain 6-2, 6-2.

Govortsova, who made her maiden Grand Slam appearance at the recent U.S. Open, beat Mandy Minella of Luxembourg 6-2, 7-5.

Jovanovski is looking for her second WTA title while Govortsova has yet to win a tournament.
