Letter: U.S. gives in, again

The Columbian

It has always been my belief that if we vote for politicians they will uphold our concerns. Well, I have changed by mind.

Over the years, politicians promise this and that and then when elected they will do what their personal agenda is, ignoring the people’s wishes that got him or her elected.

How about Obamacare? People said “no” but it passed anyway.

Now we have Syria and the people have said “no.” But “King Obama” has ignored the people and proceeded with sword-rattling rhetoric.

Now, Russia’s President Putin has proposed an international capture of Syria’s chemical weapons. So now the marshmallow Democrats are backing off and believing that the Syrian regime is going to give up their chemical weapons. Some maybe, but not all.

Why does this government continue to believe our enemies? World War II is a classic example.
