WEST LONG BRANCH, N.J. (AP) — Brandon Bialkowski’s final touchdown pass in the fourth quarter propelled Lehigh into a 28-25 victory over Monmouth Saturday.

Bialkowski threw three touchdown passes and was 24 of 40 for 375 yards. It was another impressive showing after throwing four touchdown passes in the season opener last week against Central Connecticut State that resulted in a 51-44 victory for Lehigh in double overtime.

Lee Kurfis caught the 40-yard touchdown pass that gave the lead back to the Mountain Hawks (2-0) after briefly trailing in the fourth. Kurfis had 10 receptions for 211 yards and two touchdowns.

Brandon Hill was 29 of 41 for 316 yards and one touchdown for Monmouth (0-3).

Julian Hayes and Kwabena Assante both rushed for over 100 yards for the Hawks. Asante’s only touchdown at the beginning of the fourth gave Monmouth a short-winded 25-21 lead after playing catch-up throughout the second and third quarters.
