EAST RUTHERFORD, N.J. (AP) — Bill Parcells will receive his Pro Football Hall of Fame ring at halftime of Sunday’s game between the Denver Broncos and New York Giants.

The coach who won two Super Bowls with the Giants was elected to the hall this year. He says it has been “a great life for me in the NFL” and entering the shrine adds to his “appreciation for the game and its history.”

Parcells led the Giants to the 1986 and 1990 NFL championships, and also took the New England Patriots to the 1997 Super Bowl, a loss to Green Bay. He coached the Jets and Cowboys, too, before retiring in 2006 — although he worked in the Dolphins’ front office for several seasons after that.
