NEW YORK (AP) — Cluster of Stars improved to 6 for 6 with a mild upset of Dance to Bristol on Saturday in the $300,000 Gallant Bloom Handicap for fillies and mares at Belmont Park.

Making her first start since winning the Distaff Handicap at Aqueduct in April, Cluster of Stars shot right to the front and controlled the pace as the 3-1 third choice. Dance to Bristol, winner of seven in a row and the 2-1 favorite, rallied for second, five lengths behind the winner.

Javier Castellano, who had five wins on the card, was aboard for trainer Steve Asmussen as Cluster of Stars ran the 612 furlongs in 1:15.75, paying $8.20, $4.00 and $2.80.

Dance to Bristol returned $3.60 and $2.50, while Dance Card paid $3.20 as the 5-2 second choice.
