OLYMPIA — The state Department of Corrections appointed longtime corrections worker Stefani Meusborn-Marsh to superintendent of the Larch Corrections Center, the agency announced Friday. Her first day on the job will be Oct. 1.
Meusborn-Marsh began her career as a secretary at Larch, a minimal-security prison in the woods of east Clark County. She also worked as a community corrections officer and a field administrator for Southwest Washington.
Meusborn-Marsh replaces Larch Superintendent Eleanor Vernell, who recently was appointed as superintendent at Mission Creek Corrections Center for Women in Belfair.
Larch houses about 480 offenders.
The prison also provides resources to the community, including an offender fire crew that helps fight state wildfires.
