The state Department of Natural Resources this Saturday will host a volunteer cleanup event in the Yacolt Burn area to coincide with National Public Lands Day.
The 11th annual "Pick Up The Burn" gathering intends to pick up litter and maintain parts of the Yacolt Burn State Forest. The group will gather at 8 a.m. Saturday at the Jones Creek Trailhead in east Clark County.
The event will include projects for all abilities and skill levels, according to DNR. Volunteers should bring gloves and drinking water, but lunch will be provided, according to the department.
Directions to the trailhead are available on the DNR website at www.dnr.wa.gov under the "NEWS" section.
