Letter: Private shower is wasteful luxury

It must be nice to have a private shower in your office. Vancouver Public Schools Superintendent Steve Webb seems to think so. In a time when the economy is bad and the schools are crying for more money, this is a huge waste of taxpayer money. As many have read, a contractor installed a private shower in his office at the cost of $4,000.

When the next school bond levy is on the ballot, I hope all Vancouver homeowners remember the waste that does not benefit the students, only one selfish person.

Vote “no” on the next bond levy. Send a message to the school district that Webb can shower at home like the rest of us.
