AUTHOR AND BASKET MAKER Mary Schlick will speak at 10:30 a.m. at the annual Native American celebratory service at Shepherd of the Hills Lutheran Church, at 161 Lutheran Church Road, Stevenson. Schlick will speak about her experiences living on the Colville Indian Reservation. A potluck will follow the service.

SOUP AND BREAD DISCUSSIONS, 6-8 p.m. Wednesdays through Nov. 13 at Camas Friends Church, 1004 N.E. Fourth Ave., Camas. The free meetings will begin with a simple meal and fellowship, followed by a time of focused teaching and discussion in the church community room.
