STATESBORO, Ga. (AP) — Younghoe Koo’s 26-yard field goal and a Josh Gebhardt interception in the final two minutes lifted Georgia Southern to a 23-21 Southern Conference win over Chattanooga on Saturday.

Koo, a freshman, hit his third field goal of the game — and second of the fourth quarter — with just under two minutes remaining, capping a 14-play, 71-yard drive that ate nearly seven minutes of the final period and recaptured the lead for Georgia Southern (3-1, 1-1). Koo had hit a career-long 40-yarder earlier in the fourth quarter to pull the Eagles to within 21-20.

Chattanooga (2-2, 0-1) had rallied twice from behind in the early going. Keon Williams rushed for a TD and scored again on a 56-yard pass play from Jacob Huesman as the Mocs pulled ahead 21-17 in the third quarter.

Huesman was intercepted by Georgia Southern’s Gebhardt in the final seconds for Chattanooga’s only turnover.
