Portland contractor robbed at gunpoint

Police in Portland and Southwest Washington are on the lookout this morning for armed robbers who accosted a contractor at gunpoint, tied him up, and stole his work truck.

This morning, Monday September 30, 2013, at 8:54 a.m., East Precinct officers responded to the report of a robbery at a residence in the 7800 block of Southeast 114th Avenue.

Officers arrived and contacted the victim who told police that he was at the residence to do some repairs when he was confronted by two men inside the home, one armed with a handgun.

The suspects demanded the victim's phone, wallet and keys, then left the area in his work truck after tying him up in the home. The victim was able to get free to call 9-1-1.

The truck is described as a white Ford F-150 pickup with an orange cement mixer in the back. The truck also has "Rupp Family Construction" graphics.

The suspect with the gun is described as a white male in his 40s, 5'8" tall, medium build, clean shaven, wearing all dark clothing. There is no description on the second suspect.

Anyone seeing the vehicle is asked not to approach it but to immediately call 9-1-1.
