Seth Rayburn and Dakody Clemmer matched each other pitch for pitch for seven innings.

But in the bottom of the seventh, Jay Becker’s one-out single scored Bryson Oury for the game’s only run as Columbia River beat Mountain View 1-0 in a Class 3A Greater St. Helens League baseball game on Friday.

Rayburn picked up the win, pitching eight shutout innings, allowing two hits and one walk while striking out eight.

Clemmer was just as good, giving up one run on four hits and two walks while striking out nine.

Oury led off the eighth by being hit by a pitch. After Oury was sacrificed to second, Becker’s single brought him home for the win.

Columbia River improved to 5-0 in 3A GSHL play, while Mountain View fell to 4-1.
