Letter: Absence is noticeable snub

The Columbian

When I read the April 4 story “Well-wishers bid Stuart farewell” and saw the great send-off that Clark County did for Commissioner Steve Stuart, I thought what a terrific way to show him how much he will be missed. It seems that everyone who works for Clark County will miss Stuart and wanted to wish him well in his new job as Ridgefield’s city manager.

The picture of Stuart warmly grabbing Craig Pridemore as if to say, thanks buddy for stepping up. After reading about all the dignitaries who were present for Stuart’s departure, I was deeply disappointed that Commissioners Dave Madore and Tom Mielke were a no-show, but it really didn’t surprise me. However, if the M&M boys feel that this was a right judgment to make, they are very wrong, and I guess they do not realize that we, the people of Clark County, are the ones who make the decision on who gets elected back into office.

Sorry, M&M boys, but this was again another not-smart decision on your part.
