Am I missing something here? They have found enough oil in the Bakken field of North Dakota to last 30 years. Now, the transportation costs for 30 years at 300 rail cars per day has to be astronomical. How about building a pipeline to the refineries in Washington or building some new refineries in the West? This to me would be much safer. We don’t need 300 rail cars a day through Vancouver. There hasn’t been a new refinery built on the West Coast in years. I am not a logistics person but you tell me why not.
