A Woodland man suffered a head injury Monday afternoon in a crash that tied up traffic during rush hour on state Highway 500 west of Andresen Road in Vancouver.

Around 4 p.m., a woman from Lake Oswego, Ore., crashed her vehicle into the rear of a car that was stopped at a red light in a westbound lane of the highway. The woman and her passenger suffered no injuries, but the man in the car she struck was transported to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center with a small cut on his head, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Police cited the woman for speeding.

WSP did not provide the names of those involved in the collision.
