For the seventh consecutive year, Lacamas Community Credit Union will sponsor two free community shred days in May.

The Clark County shred day is scheduled for Saturday, May 3 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., at the 192nd Avenue Financial Center, located at 19200 S.E. 31st St., in the Fisher’s Landing area of Camas.

The Stevenson branch will host a free shred day on Saturday, May 17 from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 147 First St.

The public is invited to bring personal documents for secure shredding at no cost. Documents will be professionally shredded on site by a third-party as a community service provided by the credit union. Both events will take place rain or shine.

“We are happy to provide our members and the public with a safe, secure way to dispose of unwanted personal documents to prevent them from getting into the wrong hands,” said Kathleen Romane, Lacamas president/CEO. “People really appreciate the opportunity to securely get rid of their unwanted personal documents.”
