Randall Children’s Hospital at Legacy Emanuel was announced a beneficiary of the Pablove Foundation’s Pablove Shutterbugs photography program for children and teens.

The hospital will receive $12,595 for training and tools to replicate and implement the program, which will teach 30 children and teens living with cancer to express their creative voice through photography. Students learn the principles and techniques of photography through lessons on composition, perspective and storytelling.

The Pablove Shutterbugs program is one of three cancer support programs included in the 2014 Community Impact Project selected by the Livestrong Foundation.

More than 100 hospitals, cancer centers, university students and community organizations across the U.S. were selected to participate in the online voting campaign that determined the award recipients.
