o Veggie gardening 102 – The Unique and Unusual: 10 a.m. to noon May 3. The class will highlight new heirloom and hybrid vegetables from Log House and Wild Boar Farms to help create your own veggie garden.

WSU Extension Clark County master gardener volunteer training: The 12-week training begins runs 8:45 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 3 and continues Wednesdays through Nov. 19. Upon completion, participants are expected to complete a 50-hour internship in their first year and serve 35 hours yearly thereafter to maintain certification. $245. Master Gardener Foundation of Clark County and Vancouver Urban Forestry will sponsor the presentation showcasing Ascending the Giants specimen trees, as well as large trees within our community and mature trees in our landscapes.
