Letter: Representative is part of problem

The mailer on the Affordable Care Act that was sent out by Rep. Jaime Herrera Beutler’s, R-Camas, office was a total waste of taxpayer money. If I wanted a bunch of negative anecdotal comments about the ACA, I would just watch Fox News.

What is the point of this mailer? It has no usable information and is devoid of any ideas or possible solutions to make the act better and more effective. It just shows that Herrera Beutler is part of the problem in D.C., not part the solution.

Here is one anecdote I am sure she would not repeat: My health insurance premiums did not increase this year (I have the same coverage as last year) and the act has allowed my 23-year-old son to stay on my policy. That is my experience with the ACA.

Apparently the representative does not believe that we all deserve the type of health care coverage that she has received at the taxpayers’ expense.
