Aubrey Ward-El of Skyview scored five points in her final game as a high school basketball player, helping the Washington all-stars to a victory in the 2014 Northwest Shootout in Hillsboro, Ore., on Saturday evening.

Chandler Smith of Brewster led the Washington team with 18 points. Brittany McPhee of Mount Rainier added 16 points in the 96-84 victory over Oregon.

The event features some of the best senior basketball players in Washington against Oregon’s best.

Ward-El, who was The Columbian’s All-Region player of the year this winter, was the only player representing Clark County on the Washington team this year. She was not the only player from Clark County, though.

Ce Ce Wooten, a former Hudson’s Bay athlete and still a resident of Vancouver, represented St. Mary’s Academy for the Oregon squad. She scored 13 points.

Ward-El has signed with the University of San Diego. She won a Class 4A state championship with the Storm in 2012. This winter, she helped the Storm to a sixth-place finish at state.

Wooten, who left Bay for St. Mary’s after her sophomore season, led St. Mary’s to a sixth-place finish in its state tournament in March. Wooten has signed with Weber State in Utah.
