SEATTLE — A man accused of forcing two women to work as prostitutes in the Seattle area and Portland has been indicted on sex trafficking charges.

The U.S. attorney’s office says 33-year-old John Henry “Lucky” Cyprian of Auburn was indicted Thursday by a grand jury in Seattle. He was arrested in June following an investigation by Bellevue police.

The U.S. attorney’s office says Cyprian controlled the women with beatings and threats and forced them to give him all the money they earned as prostitutes in Bellevue, SeaTac, Mountlake Terrace and Portland.

If convicted as charged Cyprian would face a minimum of 15 years in prison.
