A Vancouver motorcyclist was injured Sunday evening in a crash near Belle Center, five miles east of Washougal.

Washington State Patrol said David M. Johnson, 53, was riding his black Kawasaki westbound on state Highway 14 when he crossed the center line and struck a Subaru driven by Michael Caulfield, 65, of Juneau, Alaska.

Johnson was reported injured and taken to PeaceHealth Southwest Medical Center, where he was listed Monday evening in satisfactory condition.

Caulfield was not injured but was taken to PeaceHealth as a precaution and discharged later on Sunday, according to the state patrol.

The state patrol said Johnson will be cited for reckless driving.
