B.G. chamber donation boosts police lifesaving equipment

Battle Ground — A $1,500 donation from the Battle Ground Chamber of Commerce Harvest Days Cruise In Committee will let the city’s police department add pediatric pads to the lifesaving AED machines in its patrol cars. The Automated External Defibrillator machines, which use an electric jolt to treat sudden cardiac arrest, came with adult pads, but not ones for children. The committee presented the check to Police Chief Bob Richardson at the Aug. 4 city council meeting.
