Concours d’Elegance winners announced

Hudson’s Bay — Around 1,200 came out to appreciate more than 248 classic vehicles on display at the annual Columbia River Concours d’Elegance on Aug. 3. It’s the fifth year of show, hosted by the Fort Vancouver National Trust at Vancouver’s Officers Row. Vehicles that were voted as some of the best took part in a parade at the end of the show. Winners included:

• Best of Show Import Winner: Mike Stone, from Kingston, for his 1954 Aston Martin DB2.

• Best of Show Domestic Winner: Ron Wade, from Vancouver, for his 1931 Chrysler Imperial.

• Award of Excellence, Pre-WWII: Michael Blick, from Battle Ground, for his 1937 Dodge Sedan.

• Award of Excellence, Post-WWII: Jeff Mincheff, from Portland, for his 1955 XK 140 Jaguar.

• Best Presentation: Erin and Pat Brawley, from Fairview, Ore., for their 1955 Mercedes Cabriolet.
