Two separate robberies were reported this afternoon at gas stations in east Vancouver.

The first robbery was reported at 4:36 p.m. at Snappy’s Gas and Groceries, 10512 S.E. Mill Plain Boulevard, which is coupled with a 76 gas station.

According to emergency radio traffic monitored by The Columbian, the robber implied a weapon and fled the store without any cash.

About 25 minutes later, a second robbery was reported at 4911 N.E. 112th Ave., a Shell station across the street from the Washington State Patrol district headquarters. Each robbery’s suspect descriptions were the same, according to radio traffic.

The two gas stations are about three miles apart.

This story will be updated as more information becomes available.
