The Clark County Arts Commission is accepting artist nominations for its second annual Lifetime Achievement Award. The award recognizes an artist who lives in Clark County and has made a significant contribution to the field of arts and culture.
The deadline to submit nominations has been extended to Sept. 15.
To be eligible for nomination, the artist must live in Clark County, be 60 or older, and "be active in or recently retired from the visual, performing, film, architecture, literary arts, graphic design, commercial arts, arts education or arts advocacy fields," according to a statement from the commission.
Nominations should describe the artist's contribution locally, nationally and/or internationally as well as the quantity and quality of accomplishments. They also should discuss the artist's demonstration of commitment to the development of cultural life in Clark County.
