A public meeting on proposed angling rules for the Columbia River watershed will begin at 6 p.m. Thursday at the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife, 2108 Grand Blvd.

To review and comment on the proposed rules, go to the agency’s website at http://wdfw.wa.gov/fishing/regulations/rule_proposals. Comments will be accepted through Oct. 16.

In Southwest Washington, the proposals include the Cowlitz, Elochoman and South Toutle rivers, Salmon Creek, south Rowland Lake and Swift Reservoir.

Testimony on the proposed rules will be accepted by the state Fish and Wildlife Commission when it meets Nov. 7 and 8 in Olympia. Commission members will voted on the proposals during a meeting in December.
