HOOD RIVER, Ore. — Oregon State Police say a bicyclist died after a collision with a pickup truck near Hood River on Sunday morning.
Lieutenant Gregg Hastings says the 52-year-old woman was riding her bicycle along westbound Interstate 84 at Viento State Park interchange when a Ford pickup truck driven by a 55-year-old man struck her from behind, ejecting the woman. The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. She was wearing a helmet.
Hastings says the driver is cooperating with the investigation.
The names of the bicyclist and driver were not released.
