Storm drain stencil kits available

The Columbian
Published:

Clark County — Clark County Environmental Services is encouraging residents to paint an environmentally friendly message near their storm drains to help keep urban streams clean.

With the rainy season approaching yet again, the county is offering stencil kits to the community so residents can paint the message, “Dump no waste, Drains to stream.”

The kits have all that’s needed to mark the pavement in front of storm drains on neighborhood streets, including stencils, paint, safety vests and traffic cones.

Oil, fertilizer, pet waste and more often wash into storm drains on route to streams, lakes and other water sources.
