PORTLAND — Police say a man who was struck and killed on Interstate 205 in Portland Monday night may have been panhandling along an on-ramp.
Police say the man was struck while trying to cross the southbound lanes. He had been seen earlier in the northbound lanes and may have been panhandling on the ramp from NE Sandy Boulevard.
Police say the driver was not impaired and cooperated with investigators.
The accident closed southbound lanes until about 8:30 p.m.
