Skyview 58, Mark Morris 56 — Perran Scruggs’ only points of the night lifted the Skyview boys basketball team to a dramatic season-opening win on Wednesday.

Scruggs hit a 5-foot floater at the buzzer as the Storm beat visiting Mark Morris 58-56.

The winning basket came after Spencer Sweet hit a 3-pointer to tie the score with about 10 seconds on the clock to cap a rally that saw the Monarchs erase a 10-point Skyview lead over the final three minutes.

The Storm did not call a timeout, and Scruggs dribbled the length of the court to hit the game winning basket.

Marcus Lord had 18 points and six rebounds for Skyview. Mason Scheidel had 10 points and four assists.
