Hearing slated Friday on Columbia angling rules

TUMWATER, Wash. — A briefing and public hearing on proposed 2015-16 fishing regulations in the Columbia River drainage is scheduled for 3 p.m. Friday before the Washington Fish and Wildlife Commission.

The eight-member policy-setting panel will meet Friday and Saturday at Capital Events Center, 6005 Tyee Drive S.W, Tumwater.

Also on the agenda is adoption of the proposed 2015-21 Game Management Plan, a briefing and hearing on Willapa Bay salmon management and a briefing on the status of sturgeon in the lower Columbia River.

The sturgeon briefing is scheduled for 11:15 a.m. on Saturday.
