Letter: Kimsey targeted out of spite

Despicable. Reprehensible. These words are inadequate when describing the actions of the local Republican leadership in their attempts to discredit Greg Kimsey’s performance of his duties as auditor for Clark County. His exemplary record as auditor these many years has been the epitome of fairness in his performance.

The recent destructive attacks by the party’s leadership because of Kimsey’s failing to compromise his integrity to satisfy their political objectives once again shows their total lack of honesty. Kimsey does not deserve being a target for such malfeasance. I suggest the Republican leadership remember that when they point a finger, the other three fingers are pointed back at them.

Kimsey has performed excellently. Allow him to continue without the recent mudslinging.
