The Dec. 9 story reported “Courtyard Village tenants told to leave by new year.” Property owner MF Parc Central has given the Courtyard Village residents less than a month’s notice to move. While I appreciate that the owners want to improve their investment, they need to understand the impact on their rent-paying residents. There is a mountain of research showing that being homeless or moving in the middle of the school year is bad for kids’ education. Would it be so unreasonable to extend the eviction date another month or, better yet, to the end of the school year?
