PORTLAND — Police say extra officers are patrolling Monday at Rosemary Anderson High School in Portland where four people were wounded in Friday’s shooting.

Police also dispatched extra patrols to nearby Jefferson High School and Portland Community College to ensure safety for students returning to classes.

One person believed to be involved in the shooting remains at large. Two others were taken into custody. They are Marquel Dugas, 18, and Lonzo Murphy, 22.

Two of the four wounded remain hospitalized. One was listed in serious condition Sunday; the other was in fair condition.

Rosemary Anderson High School says counselors are available to students Monday. The victims are students or in job training programs associated with the alternative high school.

Police say the shooting was gang-related. It occurred at midday Friday, on a sidewalk in front of the alternative high school, which meets in a storefront near Jefferson High School.
