Boys basketball: Heritage 74, Mountain View 63

A 26-point first quarter propelled the host Timberwolves to the 4A Greater St. Helens League win.

Four Heritage players scored in double figures, led by 22 points for Payton Monda. Monda scored nine points in the first quarter, Mark Bejan eight and Kevin Wilkerson seven as the Timberwolves sprinted to a 26-9 lead.

Corey Henderson scored 17 points for Mountain View and Anthony Dizon 15, but the Thunder couldn’t recover from early turnovers.
