Letter: Report’s damage unacceptable

There is only one reason I can think of that Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., would make the Senate Select Committee on Intelligence’s torture report on the CIA public at this time, since it has been reviewed by U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder’s office with the conclusion that no criminal action took place.

It is a deliberate attempt by the Democrats, embittered by the results of the last election, to damage our intelligence gathering and put at risk the safety of our country. This was done, by different means, during the Bill Clinton years. When John Ashcroft came in as Attorney General under President George W. Bush, he had to rebuild communications between our intelligence community.

The only event that compares with what the Democratic Party did through Feinstein was Edward Snowden’s release of classified material from the National Security Agency.

Yes, with a political agenda to kick back, these folks have done the same damage to our intelligence community. Their credibility is shot.
