Make it personal this year

The easiest way to make a gift feel personal, of course, is to put the recipient’s name or initials on it. Here are six of our favorite personalized gifts to give this season.

• Not only can you make these Custom Address Stamps personal with a family’s name and address, but you can also choose from three designs to capture their interior-design style ($72, www.uncommongoods.com).

• The Antler Coir Doormat is a crowd-pleaser for homeowners and guests alike ($50, www.williamssonoma.com). The coir comes from coconut husks and resists mildew.

• The Square Lacquer Tray adds space where counters and tabletops are few ($27-$34, plus $8.50 for monogramming, www.westelm.com).

• Candles are generally a fairly generic gift. Not so with the passion-fruit-scented Monogram Votive Candle ($16, www.cwonder.com).

• The On Purpose Monogram Napkins say something about the recipient, with printed letters plus one hand-embroidered single red letter, but they have another story, too: They’re made in Rwanda as part of Kate Spade’s Saturday program to teach artisans skills ($15, www.saturday.com).

• The Jackson Leather Catchall in gold, pink or blue can hold jewelry, change and mail with style ($49, www.potterybarn.com). And add truffles or soaps for overnight guests, or office supplies for a boss or co-worker.
