Boys basketball: Skyview 79, Mountain View 59

The Storm closed the game by outscoring the Thunder 35-14, pulling away to win their 4A Greater St. Helens League opener.

Marcus Lord led the way with 19 points as Skyview was able to use its height advantage.

Mountain View’s Ari Smith scored 16 of his 18 points during the middle two quarters, helping the Thunder rally from an early deficit to lead 45-44 midway through the third quarter.

Skyview (4-2 overall) had 11 players score, all contributing at least four points. The Storm put away the win by outscoring the Thunder 23-10 in the fourth quarter.
