Girls basketball: Ridgefield 47, Hudson’s Bay 38

Bailey Hooghkirk scored a team-high 17 points as the Spudders defeated visiting Hudson’s Bay for their first 2A Greater St. Helens League win.

Abbie Smithline had 16 rebounds and seven points for Ridgefield, and Bailey Smithline played solid defense on Bay’s Lynnese Harrell, holding her to five points.

Kim Nguyen of Bay led all scorers with 21 points.
