Letter: Going above and beyond is noticed

I want to thank the employees who worked through the night on Dec. 11.

We all found traffic lights out or blinking red. Thanks to the traffic department and Clark Public Utilities for the work in getting most of those up and running by the next morning. And additional thanks to the public utilities for working so hard to restore several blackouts.

I don’t want to forget to thank city, county and state road workers who cleaned up our streets (and I am sure they will be working on it for another several weeks). They are all special people.

And thanks to those drivers who stopped at the intersections becoming four-way stops, and waited their turn. For those of you who didn’t want to wait and had to be the next car and the next car to go through, I hope you get coal in your Christmas stocking.

Thanks again to all these workers who do their jobs so well.
